What the heck is theMinimalist Martialist Method?
The Minimalist Martialist Method (MMM) is a training methodology and not a new system of martial arts. It is simply about focusing on fundamentals and being practical. In my experience it is not necessarily what you train in, but why and how you train. The “why” you train will determine the “how” you train. For the purposes of this slide presentation, the emphasis is on practical personal self-protection. However, whatever the case may be, you need a core of fundamental techniques and tools that are simple to use and proven to work.
What the heck is theMinimalist Martialist Method? (cont.)
In this slide presentation, I have identified 50 simple to learn, easy to use, effective techniques and tools for personal self-protection. This is by nomeans intended to be the “magic bullet” to personal self-protection, but isto serve as a guide for the reader to create her/his very own MinimalistMartialist methodology – keeping simplicity and effectiveness at the forefront.
Remember the old acronym, K.I.S.S (Keep It Simple Stupid). In a stressful, fast-moving, violent confrontation, if things are too complicated to execute or employ, you could end-up in the hospital or dead.
In the near future, I will be recording videos to serve as companions to this slidepresentation to explain in detail why these particular techniques and tools wereselected.
