WHAT WE CAN DO
• Undertake Projects that address underlying causes of conflict, like poverty, inequality, access to education
• Incorporate conflict resolution strategies in service projects involving local schools and communities
• Help children orphaned, injured or traumatized by conflict.
42 million are currently displaced by armed conflict
90% of casualties in armed conflict are civilians, and at least half of them are children.

• Help immunize against infectious diseases. • Improve and expand access to low-cost and free health care in underserved
areas. • Sponsor continuing education and training for health workers through
scholarships, stipends, etc.
1 Billion suffer from neglected tropical diseases viz dengue, leprosy, etc.
57 countries have fewer than 23 health workers for every 10,000 people.
Water and Sanitation
WHAT WE CAN DO
• Improve sanitation facilities, especially providing toilets• Promote good hygiene habits through WaSH programme in schools• Implement rainwater harvesting systems• Generate awareness to conserve water
2.5 Billion have no access to adequate sanitation facilities
783 million have no clean drinking water facility
Maternal and Child Health
WHAT WE CAN DO
• Promote good nutrition incl. breast feeding • Provide immunizations and antibiotics against malaria, pneumonia, etc.• Support training programme for health workers• Setting up dispensaries in remote areas• Ambulance service in remote areas
7 Million children under-5 die each year due to malnutrition, poor health care.
80% have of maternal deaths can be prevented with access to reproductive health services and trained healthcare workers.

• Setup HAPPY SCHOOLS by providing required supplies• Develop adult literacy programme• Provide e-learning facilities at schools• Sponsor school meal programmes, safe drinking water and sanitation facilities
