What is ammer?

• Enterprise social networking system that was launched in September 2008• It is a social networking site used for collaboration• It allows users to share and connect with others• One of the fastest growing enterprise software companies in history

activities•Teachers can create groups for classroom activities

• Teachers can communicate with students inside & outside of the classroom

• Very simple to upload files: Go to selected network and click “upload a file”

OR: Click on the status bar and click “File”

The “Pages” Application

• Create pages pertaining to a certain group, or common interests.

• Like a Facebook “Page Application”

The “Topics” Application• With the topics application you can create

a topic, and everyone that is your friend on Yammer can add their own comments to the page.

• Have discussions on the page about the topic – Example: High school Spanish teacher makes a page

about food, and students converse on Yammer about their favorite foods (using Spanish vocabulary).
