Lightweight, Portable, and Affordable

The B-Scan Lite Walking Stick packs an array of features into a lightweight, portable package. Weighing only 36.6 lbs/16.6 kg (depending on options), the B-Scan Lite inspects the entire rail head and web in one pass for improved testing efficiency and accuracy. Additional specialist RSU (Roller Search Unit) probe congurations are available on request. It features nine ultrasonic channels and one hand test probe channel (single or double double xtal). The B-Scan Lite is designed to ensure uniform and constant contact with the rail, even in less than perfect rail conditions.

Fast A-Scan to B-Scan Conversion

The B-Scan Lite is fully compatible with Sperry's A-Scan Walking Stick, delivering a low cost, fully Network Rail-compliant walking stick upgrade. The B-Scan Lite is also capable of operating with other non-RSU probe arrangements. Simply swap the analog aw detector and multiplexer for the B-Scan Lite aw detector, and use the B-Scan Lite in A-scan only, B-scan only, or A-scan + B-scan inspection mode. The unit also comes standard with SpeSperry’s unique Calibration and Recall system.
