IntegrationSelected products within WaveWorks, Epic, Renegade and Exhibit may cross over between productlines to offer solutions that achieve greater flexibility, aesthetics and price points.
You may select worksurfaces from one product line and utilize undersurface storage from anotherproduct line. Or utilize the undersurface storage and worksurfaces from one product line andincorporate set-on and wall mount storage from another line.
You may even layer heights of surfaces and storage to realize your own unique design solution. Wedo recommend that you consider the base design of each storage product when considering whichcomponents to place directly adjacent to each other.
Here are some standard typical examples showing the integration of components between productlines.

Exhibit Wall Rail SolutionExhibit consists of upper and lower rails thatsupport worksurfaces, overhead storagecomponents and Exhibit inserts.
Exhibit rails attach at desired height directly toload bearing walls constructed of wood or metalstuds, poured concrete or concrete block wallswith fasteners appropriate to the wall material.
WALL REQUIREMENTS
STUD WALLSWood studs must be a minimum of 2 x 4’ssecured to the floor and ceiling.Maximum height of 14’.
METAL STUDSMetal studs must be minimum 20 gauge “C”channel secured to the floor and ceiling.Maximum height of 14’.
POURED CONCRETE AND CONCRETE BLOCKAttach rails with appropriate fasteners for wallmaterial.
STRENGTHWalls must resist no less than 5 lbs. per squarefoot of force applied perpendicular to the walland the deflection can not exceed 1⁄240 of thespan for brittle finishes and 1⁄120 of the span forflexible finishes.
ATTACHMENTRails must be fastened a maximum of every 24". Rails may not extend more than 6" beyondattachment point.
WIDTHSProperly fastened, there is no maximum lengthrequirements for Exhibit rail runs.
MINIMUM WITH INSERT ONLY.Minimum rail length is 18" on 16" centeredmounting points.
MINIMUM TO SUPPORT COMPONENTS.Minimum rail length is 30" centered on 24"mounting points.
MOUNTING HEIGHTSStandard height to the center of the lower rail is28½" from the finished floor to accommodateundersurface storage.
Upper rail height is determined by the insertheight, storage component supported andadjacent freestanding components.
Refer to product specification section page 42for information on proper heights to coordinateWaveWorks and Epic components as well as bar, counter and worksurface height applications.

At least half of theweight must be applied above center ofslat wall. Deflection or bowing occurswhen not enough counterweight isapplied to the upper half of slat wall.
• Any slat wall inserts used in conjunctionwith overhead storage units will not needwall fasteners. Overhead units must fullycover the slat wall.
Wall fasteners are to be used under the followingconditions:
• If slat wall inserts are to support 160 lbs.or more, wall fasteners are to be used.
• Bottom loading, (placing the majority ofload below centerline of slat wall), causesthe slat wall to deflect or bow from fixedwall. If slat wall inserts are to be loadedwith more than 50% of load on thebottom half, wall fasteners must beinstalled.
When required, two fasteners are required perslat wall insert. Fasteners are to be inserted inthe center slat, approximately 1 inch off of edge“U” trim, or to nearby stud.

Use any width and combination of undersurfacecomponents on either side to create small back-to-back or long runs of multiple workspaces.
Worksurfaces are not dependent upon theundersurface component widths used as long asthe combined total widths are equal. Specify anylength worksurface available to finish the tops ofthe undersurface storage.
Epicenter divider and insert lengths are notdependent on the undersurface componentwidths, as long as the combined widths are equalto the total width of the undersurfacecomponents. Consider desired location of insertsand power/data locations when planning for runlength.
Consider the degree of privacy desired. 7" of divider height may be gained by usingworksurface height versus box/file heightundersurface storage.
Freestanding storage or components with set-onstorage may be used between runs to createadditional work space privacy and visual interest.
