Duties & Responsibility
At presentworking as field coordinator, for Public Health Foundation of India in
Ganjam, Orissa for their operational research project in the district. The project deals
with various ways of strengthening the health systems delivery in the district and
thereby helping the district to have better health indicators. This is both a research &
interventional project. The main components of the project are:
i) Identifying the locations of the blocks where the health indices are lowii) Conducting PRA survey in 320 villages of Ganjam Districtiii) Followed by in-depth situational analysis & a robust household survey along with
meeting with various multiple- stakeholders.
iv) Identifying, monitoring & evaluating the performance of partner organizationswhich help in promotion of health care services.
v) Devising , planning & implementing various methods which would further help inachieving the targets of health indicators

I worked as Hospital Manager, in District Head- Quarter Hospital, Rourkela for the
period of 19th
March 2008 to 20th
July 2009. I was appointed through the National Rural
Health Mission. My job responsibility was to be the facilitator in the hospital in
improving the public health delivery and its facilities.
Rourkela , is in the tribal dominated district of Sundergarh which is around 60% of the
total 4 million. Most of the people are dependent on the district head quarter hospital,
Rourkela A tertiary care unit of the place.

Various duties performed at NRHM as a part of the JOB RESPONSIBILITY:
1. For Maternal Care : I worked to the best of my efforts to improve the health delivery system
specifically for women, children, and families through advocacy, education, and
research. This I accomplished by discovering and testing solutions through
applied research and by developing, implementing, and/or evaluating health
programs at the local level.
I tried to improve the Institutional Delivery with the help of various NRHMinitiatives like the JSY, ASHA, regularly monitoring the proper & timely JSY
disbursement in the hospital.
I was asked by the Chief medical Officer, Rourkela Govt. Hospital to co-ordinatedthe activities of ASHA & other health workers.
2. For Integrated Child Development ; Regularly monitored the IMMUNISATION CAMPAIGNS in the hospital. Arranged for different strategies in promotion of immunization campaigns Made need assessment surveys in coverage of immunization promotions Helped in setting up the New- Neo Natal Care center of the hospital which was
supported by the UNICEF.
Helped in setting up the new Delivery Ward of the hospital which was supportedby the NRHM
Helped in transmission of data of Routine Immunization of the hospital toNRHM
Helped in Maintaining the Cold chain maintenance system of the hospital. Informed about the supply chain network of the ORS packets to the head office Actively performed the managerial duties in PULSE- POLIO campaigns, &
surveillance reporting of the new AFP cases suspected or diagnosed.
