Social Media For Creatives

Flexible learning module that will lead to a Level 6 special purpose award, accredited by LIT.

Goal: Train career professionals to enhance their online brand through social media.

Deliverables: Ten audio clips, ten blog posts, five videos and an EBook.

Audio clips will support the learning objectives of the course.

Ten blog posts that will outline the each of the ten lessons.

Five tutorial videos demonstrating how to use social media tools.

EBook complete with course content available on completion of course.

Ten audio clips will instruct people how to best use social media platforms such as Facebook and twitter.

Ten blog posts will give descriptive instructions along with screen shots to demonstrate using social media.

Videos will be short, to the point and quirky. Using screenr we hope to show good/bad ways of using social media.

Course website: Embedding Google analytics or Stat counter code. Measure usage as part of research.

Ebook with course content created using scrivener. Available across all platforms.

All course content will be available on moodle

Hardware and software

Reaper and Audacity for sound post production. Sound lab for recording each lesson.

Microsoft word to create draft blog posts before populating course website.

Dropbox and Google documents used for

collaboration and Backup all work.

Crash plan is an online backup service that we will also use. In

case of unforeseen circumstances with dropbox.

Libsyn will be used to house our Audio lessons. Libsyn is a

podcast hosting service.

Free Libsyn app, called Podcast Box available across ios,

android and windows phone.

Adobe premier pro will be used to edit any videos we

shoot without screenr.

We will create the Ebook using scrivener which is available on

windows and Mac.

Smart phones with different operating systems will be used

to test our output.

iOS/Android/Windows

Tablets with different operating systems will also be

used to test our output.

Ipad/Kindle/Nexus

Methodology we plan to adhere to is Agile. We will

break our project into small incremental blocks that will

involve little planning.

Agile will minimise our overall risk and the project will be able to adapt to changes

quickly.

We hope to achieve our large milestone by completing lots

of small ones on the way.

We know how large our project is but believe were

capable of completing it to a high standard.
