SHARE is a monthly newsletter published by the ACS Athens PTO. We strive to offer the members of the greater ACS Athens community (parents, students, staff, faculty, alumni, and parents) opportunities to meet, network, work and play together.

THE HOLIDAY BAZAAR!!Prizes and donations are needed again in order to

support this fun event and to reach our fundraising goals. You, our parents can help! Please donate

prizes for our Pick-A-Prize Raffle. Here are some ideas to think about:"

- Make your own basket with any theme you can possibly imagine:

Think about a Coffee and/or Tea Basket, a Candle Basket, a Home Spa Basket, a Mani-Pedi Basket, a Baking Basket, a Beach Basket, a Pasta Dinner Basket… the list is only limited to your imagination!

Just choose a theme and coordinate the items in the basket to reflect the theme you choose!

- How about a certificate from your favorite vendor?

A hair treatment, a manicure, a workout session, a pilates lesson, a horseback riding lesson, a certificate for a gift shop or jeweler, tire balancing, piano tuning, dinner for two, a special-order cake, tickets to a sport/cultural event, the list goes on. Any shop, salon, restaurant, hotel, service-oriented business, lessons, etc.

We will be happy to display the donor’s advertising information alongside the donation at the auction table.

What is a Pick-A-Prize Raffle? All prizes will be displayed in the Theater Lobby, along with it’s own designated bag to collect tickets for that particular item. Buy as many tickets as you like (one euro each), write your name, email, and mobile number on each ticket so we can inform you if you are the winner. Place one ticket or as many tickets as you like into the bag next to the item(s) that you would like to win. You increase your chances of winning by placing more tickets into the bag! At 4:00 pm the winners will be drawn from each bag!"

PTO Mandate to Support Our Athens Community by supporting theSalvation Army in Greece !Please help support our community by using the bins in front of the Transportation Office to donate your items. Each month, the items needed will be announced and at the end of the month, the donations will be delivered to the Salvation Army for distribution to families, refugees, and groups in need throughout Athens. "!MONTH OF NOVEMBER: DRY FOOD

(Lentils, Beans, Pasta, Rice, etc.) !The Salvation Army is an international Christian movement that operates in 124 countries worldwide. In Greece, the Salvation Army has been operating as a nonprofit company from January 2011, standing by the homeless, elderly, young families with infants and victims of trafficking.#

Notice to all parents: The PTO wants to do a better job of representing you. Please send in your questions/concerns/issues to your PTO School Rep. so that they can in turn let your principals know. Reps will then report back to parents at the PTO General Meetings.

Any parents that would like to host a cooking class in their homes - it’s great fun! Each participant (how ever many

parents you would like, usually around 10-12) pays 10 euros for you to buy the ingredients and print the recipes. Everyone helps out with the cooking and then at the end of the “class” -
