Grace AloneI was an orphan, lost at the fall.

Running away when I’d hear You call; But Father, You worked Your will.

I had no righteousness of my own.I had no right to draw near Your throne.

But Father, You loved me still.

And in love before You laid the world’s foundation. You predestined to adopt me as Your own.

You have raised me up so high above my station.I’m a child of God by grace and grace alone.

You left Your home to seek out the lost; You knew the great and terrible cost.

But Jesus, Your face was set.

I worked my fingers down to the bone; But nothing I did could ever atone,

But Jesus You paid my debt.

By Your blood I have redemption and salvation.

Lord, You died that I might reap what You have sown,

And you rose that I might be a new creation.

I am born again by grace and grace alone.

I was in darkness all of my life.I never knew the day from the night.

But Spirit, You made me see.

I swore I knew the way on my own;Head full of rocks, a heart made of stone;

But Spirit, You moved in me.

And at Your touch my sleeping spirit was awakened;

On my darkened heart the light of Christ has shone.

Called into a kingdom that cannot be shaken;

Heaven’s citizen by grace and grace alone.

So I’ll stand in faith by grace and grace alone.

I will run the race by grace and grace alone.

I will slay my sin by grace and grace alone.I will reach the end by grace and grace

alone!“Grace Alone”Words: Dustin Kensrue (2011)Arr: King’s Kaleidoscope / Dan EmersonCCLI: 11148322

Come Ye SinnersCome ye sinners, poor and

wretched; Weak and wounded, sick and sore.Jesus, ready, stands to save you,

Full of pity, love and power.

Come ye needy, come and welcome; God’s free bounty glorify:

True belief and true repentance, and every grace that brings you nigh.

I will rise and go to Jesus. He will embrace me in His arms.In the arms of my dear Savior,

O, there are ten thousand charms.

Come ye weary, heavy laden, bruised and broken by the fall.If you tarry ‘til you’re better,

you will never come at all.

I will rise and go to Jesus. He will embrace me in His arms.In the arms of my dear Savior,

O, there are ten thousand charms.

View Him prostrate in the garden;On the ground your Maker lies.On the bloody tree behold Him;

Sinner, will this not suffice?

On the bloody tree behold Him;Sinner, will this not suffice?

I will rise and go to Jesus. He will embrace me in His arms.In the arms of my dear Savior,

O, there are ten thousand charms.

Approach, My Soul, The Mercy SeatApproach my soul, the mercy seat,Where Holy One and helpless meet.

There fall before my Judge’s feet; Thy promise is my only plea, O God.

Send wings to lift the clutch of sin, You who dwell between the cherubim.

From war without and fear within; Relieve the grief from the shoulders

Of crumbling men.

Oh, GodPour out your mercy to me.

My God,Oh what striking love to bleed.

Fashion my heart in your alchemy, With the brass to front the devil’s

perjury. And, surefire, grace my Jesus speaks!

I must. I will. I do believe, Oh God.

Oh, GodPour out your mercy to me.

My God,Oh what striking love to bleed.

Missional MovementMission of God

Missional- adopting the posture of a missionary, learning, and adapting to the culture around us while remaining Biblically sound.

Missional MovementMission of God

On Mission- being intentional and deliberate about reaching others with the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

Missional MovementMission of God

Upward, Inward, Outward:1) God’s mission; not ours.

2) Mission is the retelling/Gospel proclamation

3) Mission is done as we love God/Neighbor

4) Mission is an outward movement.

5) Mission is not optional.

On Mission: The Rhythm that leads to Soul Winners- Part 4

As the Missiologist Lesslie Newbigin has said: “The question which has to be put to every local congregation [church] is the question whether it is a credible sign of God’s reign in justice and mercy over the whole of life, whether it is an open fellowship whose concerns are as wide as the concerns of humanity, whether it cares for its neighbors in a way which reflect and springs out of God’s care for them, whether its common life is recognizable as a foretaste of the blessing which God intends for the whole human family.”

What Are We To Do?

WHAT WE ARE TO DO?

Mark 1:1717 And Jesus said to them, “Follow me, and I will make you become fishers of men.”

WHAT WE ARE TO DO?

Matthew 28:16-2016 Now the eleven disciples went to Galilee, to the mountain to which Jesus had directed them. 17 And when they saw him they worshiped him, but some doubted. 18 And Jesus came and said to them, “All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. 19 Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20 teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age.”

How We Are To Do It?

Matthew 16:18HOW WE ARE TO DO IT?

18 And I tell you, you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.

Sermon notes:bible.com1Tlj

Acts 2:42-45HOW WE ARE TO DO IT?

42 And they devoted themselves to the apostles' teaching and the fellowship, to the breaking of bread and the prayers. 43 And awe came upon every soul, and many wonders and signs were being done through the apostles. 44 And all who believed were together and had all things in common. 45 And they were selling their possessions and belongings and distributing the proceeds to all, as any had need.

Sermon notes:bible.com1Tlj

Ephesians 3:10HOW WE ARE TO DO IT?

10 so that through the church the manifold wisdom of God might now be made known to the rulers and authorities in the heavenly places.

Sermon notes:bible.com1Tlj

Hebrews 10:24-25HOW WE ARE TO DO IT?

24 And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, 25 not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day drawing near.Sermon notes:bible.com1Tlj

Jeremiah 29:4-7HOW WE ARE TO DO IT?

4 “Thus says the LORD of hosts, the God of Israel, to all the exiles whom I have sent into exile from Jerusalem to Babylon: 5 Build houses and live in them; plant gardens and eat their produce. 6 Take wives and have sons and daughters; take wives for your sons, and give your daughters in marriage, that they may bear sons and daughters; multiply there, and do not decrease. 7 But seek the welfare of the city where I have sent you into exile, and pray to the LORD on its behalf, for in its welfare you will find your welfare.

Do this in remembrance of me…

2 Corinthians 9:7Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not

reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.

1 Corinthians 11:23-26For I received from the Lord what I also delivered to you,

that the Lord Jesus on the night when he was betrayed took bread, 24 and when he had given thanks, he broke it, and

said, “This is my body which is for you. Do this in remembrance of me.” 25 In the same way also he took the

cup, after supper, saying, “This cup is the new covenant in my blood. Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance

of me.” 26 For as often as you eat this bread and drink the cup, you proclaim the Lord's death until he comes.

His Be the Victor’s NameHis be the Victor’s name,

Who fought the fight alone;Resplendent saints no honor claim,

His triumph was their own.

Trod sin and death beneath His feet,As He was trodden down.

Through weakness and defeatHe won the conqueror’s crown.

Oh, love incomprehensible,Made Thee bleed for me!

The Judge of all hath suffered deathTo set the prisoner free!

He laid the power of Satan low;By light, the dark overthrew;

Bowed to the grave – destroyed it so;And death, by dying, He slew.

Oh, love incomprehensible,Made Thee bleed for me!

The Judge of all hath suffered deathTo set the prisoner free!

Bless, bless the Conqueror slain – Slain in His victory –

Who lived, who died, who lives again in glorious majesty

My God, My FatherMy God, My Father while I stray,

Far from my home I life’s rough way.Oh! Teach me from my heart to say:

“Thy will be done!”

Though dark my path, and sad my lot,Let me be still, and murmur not,

Or breathe the prayer divinely taught,“Thy will be done!”

But if my fainting heart be blessed,With the Holy Spirit for its guest,My God, to Thee I leave the rest:

“Thy will be done!”

If Thou should call me to resign,What most I prize – ‘twas never mine;

I only yield Thee what is Thine:“Thy will be done!”“Thy will be done!”

Renew my will from day to dayBlend it with Thine and take awayAll that now makes it hard to say:

“Thy will be done!”(2x)

Then when on earth I breathe no more,The prayer oft mixed with tears before,

I’ll sing upon that joyful shore,“Thy will be done!”

“Thy will be done!”“Thy will be done!”“Thy will be done!”“Thy will be done!”

Nothing But the BloodWhat can wash away my sin?

Nothing but the blood of Jesus! What can make me whole again?Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Oh! Precious is the flow That makes me white as snow!

No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

For my pardon, this I see:Nothing but the blood of Jesus! For my cleansing, this I plea:

Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Oh! Precious is the flow That makes me white as snow!

No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

This is all my hope and peace:Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

This is all my righteousness:Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Oh! Precious is the flow That makes me white as snow!

No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

Oh! Precious is the flow That makes me white as snow!

No other fount I know, Nothing but the blood of Jesus!

At the Foot of the CrossAt the foot of the cross there’s salvation

By the blood of a pure sacrificeBy the body broken for you and for meBy the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

A Father You are to the hopeless,Strength You are to the weak.

Failures become perfection in you.At the foot of the cross we are free.

Singing… “O, Father, we love to sing of Your grace – to sing out Your praise!”

At the foot of the cross we find freedom.

In the death of ourselves there is life.By mercy we’re free to live in the

kingdomBy the love of our Lord, Jesus Christ.

In the end we will walk Your glory - In the end unveiled as Your bride.

All the glorious things all gifts from the King;

At the foot of the cross where it starts.

Singing… “O, Father, we love to sing of Your grace – to sing out Your praise!”

“O, Father, we love to sing of Your grace.”Singing – “O, Father, we love to sing of

Your grace.”Singing – “O, Father, we love to sing of

Your grace, to sing out Your praise!”
