• The origin of the AAP can be traced to a difference in opinion

between Arvind Kejriwal and Anna Hazare, social activists a

stand of the anti-corruption movement for Jan Lokpal Bill that

had gained momentum in India during 2011-12.

have to be in government.

Education:-

• Mechanical engineering from IIT Kharagpur.

• After completing his education he joined the TATA Steels in 1989.

• Prepared for IRS and became Joint Commissioner in the Income Tax Department.

Activist –

• Arvind Kejriwal and few other people were the

founder of the movement of Parivartan .

• He started his fight against corruption.

• He joined Anna Hazare’s movement for Jan lokpal

bill and become an important part of the team.

• He formed his own party AAP with few members in

November 2012.
