Rosslare Harbour, Co. WexfordRosslare Harbour is a village in County Wexford. The village, also known as Ballygeary, grew up to serve the needs of the harbour of the same name (now called Rosslare Europort), first developed in 1906 to accommodate steamferry traffic between Great Britain and Ireland. This port also serves France and Spain.

County Wexford is in the province of Leinster, and is part of the South-East region of Ireland. The county takes its name from the town of Wexford.

County Wexford is known as Ireland’s “sunny southeast” because, in general, the number of hours of sunshine received daily is higher than in the rest of the country. This has resulted in Wexford becoming one of the most popular places in Ireland in which to reside.

The town of Wexford boasts a rich cultural scene. Wexford has a number of music and drama venues, and every October hosts the Wexford Opera Festival. A fireworks display is held every year in conjunction with the festival.
