River Kosto is a free trout stream in Taivalkoski, Finland. The natural balance of the river, its rapids were restored in 2005-2010, was restored for wild trout after decades of timber rafting that started in the late 1800s until 1988, when the original rafting act of river Kosto was abolished. The river has a natural, wild migrating trout population today.
