Employment is based on a written contract either individual or collective

As a general rule, there is no time limit in terms of the contract, but work is nice, so there are exceptions

Work experience is only taken into account if a contract exists

In Romania, the minimum age for employment is 16

However, one can be employed at 15 with written parental consent

You don’t have to explain your decision

Regular full time workers are bound to work 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day.

Holidays (free days) are stated in the law. In case of a 12-hour shift, a 24-hour

resting period is compulsory. A person under 18 can only work 30 hours

a week, 6 hours a day and they cannot be granted extra hours.

The maximum number of extra hours is 120 per year

It must be at least the minimum value decided by the government.

The amount of money one receives is confidential

One should get paid at least once a month and if the employer fails to do so, the employee can demand compensation

Bonuses are given according to work conditions, performance, risk, management
