Objectives and aimsThe objects of the charity are: The relief of poverty anywhere in the world, through, without limitation, providing financial supportfor education and vocational training, providing loans or equity to businesses aimed at creating employment for disadvantaged
people, assisting children and young people to escape circles of violence and making donations to help those who lack the basic

explaining the doctrine and practices of the Catholic faith and its relevance to modern society, culture and daily life by funding or
organising talks, presentations, exhibitions, papers, conferences and retreats.
Significant activities
The charity has received requests for financial assistance from a number of charities. Applications were reviewed by the
management committee and applicants were requested to fill in a form explaining why their request met with the charity's
objectives and how the use of the funds could be monitored. They were also asked to provide accounts. The management
committee rejected some for not being compatible with the objects, not providing adequate information, where it was felt that thecharity in question was spending an excessive amount on administration and fund raising, or where it was felt it was a large well
funded national charity and the charity's funds were better employed elsewhere. Donations were made to Choysez, The Who
Cares? Trust, Young and Inspired, Survive Miva, North London Food Bank, The Catholic Childrens' Society, Drama Expression forChildren, Feed the Hungry for Samara's Aid Appeal, NSPCC, and The Little Way Association. Donations were also made, without
specific requests, to St Joseph's Parish Church for a collection to support a missionary priest in Uganda, CAFOD, Aid to the Church in
Need, CARITAS, and to AVSI - for work in a hospital in Uganda. Ag these organisations are known to the Trustees.
In total f130,805 of donations were made.
Public benefit reporting requirementThe benefits of the charity are open to everyone suffering from the effects of poverty without regard to race, religion, gender orage.

STATEMENT OF TRUSTEES RESPONSIBILITIES
The trustees are responsible for preparing the Trustees' Report and the financial statements in accordance with applicable law
and United Kingdom Accounting Standards (United Kingdom Generally Accepted Accounting Practice).
The law applicable to charities in England and Wales, the Charities Act 2011, Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 2006 and
the provisions of the trust deed requires the trustees to prepare financial statements for each financial year which give a true and
fair view of the state of affairs of the charity and of the incoming resources and application of resources, including the income and
expenditure, of the charity for that period. In preparing those financial statements, the trustees are required to
select suitable accounting policies and then apply them consistently;
observe the methods and principles in the Charity SORP;
make judgements and estimates that are reasonable and prudent;
prepare the financial statements on the going concern basis unless it is inappropriate to presume that the charity will
continue in business.
The trustees are responsible for keeping proper accounting records which disclose with reasonable accuracy at any time the
financial position of the charity and to enable them to ensure that the financial statements comply with the Charities Act 2011, the
Charity (Accounts and Reports) Regulations 200B and the provisions of the trust deed, They are also responsible for safeguarding
the assets of the charity and hence for taking reasonable steps for the prevention and detection of fraud and other irregularities.
The trustees are responsible for the maintenance and integrity of the charity and financial information included on the charity's
website. Legislation in the United Kingdom governing the preparation and dissemination of financial statements may differ from
legislation in other jurisdictions.

INDEPENDENT EXAMINER'5 REPORT TO THE TRUSTEES OF
THE CUCKOO HILL TRUST
I report on the accounts for the year ended 31 December 2015 setout on pages four to seven.
Respective responsibilities of trustees and examiner
The charity's trustees are responsible for the preparation of the accounts. The charity's trustees consider that an audit is not
required for this year (under Section 144(2) of the Chanties Act 2011 (the 2011 Act)) and that an independent examination is
required.
It is my responsibility to:
examine the accounts under Section 145 of the 2011Act
to fallow the procedures laid down in the General Directions given by the Charity Commission (under Section 145(5)(b) of
the 2011Act); and
to state whether particular matters have come to my attention.
Basis of the independent examiner's report
My examination was carried out in accordance with the General Directions given by the Charity Commission. An examination
includes a review of the accounting records kept by the charity and a compadson of the accounts presented with those records. It
also includes consideration of any unusual items or disclosures in the accounts, and seeking explanations from you as trustees
concerning any such matters. The procedures undertaken do not provide all the evidence that would be required in an audit, and
consequently no opinion is given as to whether the accounts present a 'true and fair view ' and the report is limited to those
matters set out in the statements below.
Independent examiner's statementIn connection with my examination, no matter has carne to my attention:
(1) which gives me reasonable cause to beheve that, in any material respect, the requirements
to keep accounting records in accordance with Section 130of the 2011Act; and
to prepare accounts which accord with the accounting records and to comply with the accounting requirements
of the 2011Act
have not been met, ' or
(2) to which, in my opinion, attention should be drawn in order to enable a proper understanding of the accounts to be
reached.
