AFTER SEARCHING THROUGH LISTS OF DISTRIBUTORS, I HAVE COME TO THE

CONCLUSION THAT EGMONT WILL BE THE MOST SUITABLE COMPANY FOR MY MAGAZINE.

My reasoning behind this is that although Egmont only distribute one magazine, they are the distributors of the magazine, We Love Pop; which are a large inspiration to me for creating my own magazine.

Egmont typically distribute books for children aged around 7. They also do a range of magazines, although the majority are aimed at ages 7 and under. The only magazine aimed at teenagers is We Love Pop, which was the main magazine I looked at for inspiration for my own, and we both have similar target audience, colour scheme and just overall theme.

While looking for suitable distributors, I also found many unsuitable ones; Bauer is the main example of this. Bauer distributes magazines as big as Kerrang! And Q, and would be great to distribute mine as that could be considered as a selling point. However, there are no other positive points on them being my distributor as Kerrang! and Q have completely different target audience to mine, and also include different music genres in our magazines, and different unique selling points.
