This mood continued throughout next street, and clearly by the graffiti on the gates and the shoes on the electrical wire, we can see that it was not a respectable area.

Grasmere Street

We could not escape the labyrinth of winding streets.

Jarrom street

Which once again left us feeling vulnerable. Even the churches had graffiti smeared on the windows.

Ullswater street

The area was summed up by a factory we found … Working class

Back onto Upperton Road

Even within central areas with work places that give a sense of middle class jobs, graffiti is still prevalent.

Just off Western Boulevard

A sense of liberty fell upon us as we viewed an area that was much more open and less claustrophobic.
