But how about a MOVIE ?

Slidesa

still-image/photograph that is protected by glass or cardboard frame.

2 forms:Standard slide- 3 ¼ inches by 4

inches.Miniature slides- 2 by 2 inches.

Filmstrips (Film slides/slide films)

Is a series of still-pictures.One strip may consist of 14-70 frames, usually 35-40 frames.

Cannot be repaired.There are sound film strips.

TransparenciesTransparent sheets (acetate) projected with OHP.

Can be colored/ simple ink.

7 ½ by 9 inches (19 by 23 cm).

Slides, filmstrips and transparencies are unpopular nowadays.

But libraries still collect these types of materials, because of the valuable information it contained.

Motion pictures/filmsPresent moving and dynamic images.

Before, by reels presented with projector.

Now, in VCD/DVD form with the use of VCD/DVD players.

USESEducational information.The subject can be taught with detail

and clarity.Motivational force.Easy to transport and use.Interesting.

LIMITATIONSFor slides, filmstrips, transparencies, not

excessive use.For slides and filmstrips, lacks audition.Commercially unavailable (slides, filmstrips, OHP)Preservation and storage problem.
