Unit 6QuadraMed MPI SmartMerge Reports

Duplicate records are often found in healthcare organizations and affect not only patient safety but quality of healthcare as well.

This application helped you to detect and fix duplicate records

Unit 7Release of Information

Did you know all 50 states have mixed laws

regarding information release? Release of information sounds like a simple topic,

but, really, it can be somewhat complex. Variations in law and processes can make this a

somewhat murky topic. In the last unit, we reviewed the QuadraMed

SmartMerge application to learn about how to gather information on patient records.

In this unit, we will be looking at the eSmartlog system; this is used for release of information.

Unit 7 - AssignmentESmart Log Student Training ManualPlease review the student training manual found

in the ESmart Log assignment. This manual will help you log in and complete the assignment for this unit.

In the Unit 7 Assignment you will use the Virtual Lab to review Release of Information Requests.

You will now work first hand with eSmartlog system which is a Release of Information (ROI) tracking system created by HealthPort.

This system is used by healthcare organizations around the United States.

Unit 7 – Assignment (cont).

Read and review the user’s guide to help you learn how to use eSmartlog when processing your ROI assignments.

Review and Print out: Lesson A and Lesson B

These lesson packet s include 10 release of information requests and a student worksheet for use with the HealthPort eSmartLog correspondence tracking system and EDMS.

Complete the student worksheet with each patient from Lesson A and B.
