ORACLE BUSINESS INTELLIGENCE DE-INSTALLATION PROCEDURE WITH SCREEN SHOTS ON WINDOWS XP 32 BIT

NOTE: All the steps are to be strictly followed failing, you may face challenges while re-installing 11g again.

I. DEINSTALLING ORACLE BI INSTANCE 1. Open CMD prompt and navigate to ORACLE_HOME /oui / Bin2. Run {setup.exe – deinstall}

3. Click on “Next”

4. In the De-installation type screen, select “Deinstall ASinstances managed by Weblogic Domain” option

5. On Weblogic Domain detail screen, specify the weblogic domain hostname, port number, username and password. Note all the service should be up and running before clicking next.

6. Select the BI Instance you want to de-install.

7. Save deinstall summary file if required and click on Deinstall.

8. Click on Finish

9. Login to Weblogic EM (http://localhost:7001/em) and go to Business Intelligence -> coreapplication and click stop button.

10.Go to “Capacity Management” tab and then to “Availability” tab and check if all the components are down.

11.Login to Weblogic Console (http://localhost:7001/console), In Domain structure, click on Deployments link -> go to control tab and select all the components and click on “Stop” button (force stop).

II. REMOVING THE MIDDLEWARE AND BI SCHEMAS

12.Run the RCU.bat file from RCU_HOME/bin and select

13.Select “Drop” option.

14.Give the database details.

15.Terminate the weblogic command screens.

16.Click Next

17.Check if the pre-requisites are ok.

18.Click on Drop button.

19.Click on Close.

III. REMOVING ORACLE BI HOME

20.Restart the de-install script from Oracle Home by going to Oracle Home / oui / bin and run “setup.exe –deinstall”

21.Click on “Deinstall Oracle Home”

22.Click on Deinstall

23.Click the Finish button.

IV. REMOVING ORACLE COMMON HOME

24.Go to Middleware Home / oracle_common /oui / bin and run “setup.exe –deinstall –jreLoc D:\BI\jdk160_18”, note the jdk path given is the one that was created when Oracle BI 11G was installed.

25.Click on Next and Deinstall.

26.Click on Finish

27.If you are deinstalling on Windows Operating system, Restart your Machine Now.

V. DEINSTALLING WEBLOGIC SERVER IN CONSOLE MODE

28.Open Command Prompt and navigate to Middleware Home -> utils -> uninstall and execute “uninstall -mode=console”

29.Enter “Next”

30.Type “Enter”

VI. REMOVING FOLDERS OF RESPECTIVE HOMES IF ANYTHING IS NOT DELETED

31.Go to Middleware home and delete manually if any files exist in that directory, files can be related to ORACLE_HOME, WEBLOGIC_HOME, ORACLE_COMMON_HOME.

32.Restart the Machine before you re-install the OBIEE 11g software.
