What is Rapport?

• Happens at an unconscious level

• Achieving a state of mind where there is trust and openness between two people, a person and a group or between two groups

• An instinctive sense of safety, trust, integrity and comfort

• Perception of liking and being liked

• The conscious mind is more open to receiving new ideas

• It is vital to gain rapport at the start of relationship when seeking to have valuable discussions or working collaboratively

• Resistance is a sign of lack of rapport

It is important to ensure all your communication is fully congruent to build rapport.

Chunking down- details/specifics • What specifically?

• What are examples of this?
