GR OW
“we were designed for spiritual growth”
Time
GROWto
Everything that is alive has been designed to grow. From babies into adults, from seeds into plants, lambs into sheep and so on. Growth is a natural part of our physical DNA, we don’t have to think about it or manufacture it - growth just happens as a normal process of life.
However we can grow in many other areas of life. We can grow in love, grow in strength, grow in knowledge, grow in anger. We can grow emotionally or stay stunted (there are many physical adults walking the earth who are still emotional infants). We were also designed for spiritual
growth - starting with knowing Jesus (not just knowing ‘about’ Jesus but actually asking Jesus into our life and getting to know Him). In Matthew 17:20 Jesus said we only need faith in Him as small as a mustard seed and the impossible becomes possible.
But it starts with faith in Jesus as small as a full stop. It is as we get to know Him that we grow in our understanding of who we really are, who we were created to be, our destiny and purpose.
The growth of our faith begins.
Colossians 1:10talks about the sort of life we should live once our relationship with Jesus has begun. It says “Live a life worthy of the Lord and please Him in every way... growing in the knowledge of God”.
Unlike the physical, when it comes to our emotions and our spiritual life we must make a choice whether we are going to grow or not. We can stagnate, stay the same, let the years pass without change but that is not God’s plan.
There is nothing quite so wonderful as finding God’s purpose and planfor your life and then choosing to
follow that blueprint. We suddenly discover what life is really all about and real meaning becomes part of the everyday. Make a decision to grow as a person in every area of your life. It’s what you were designed for.

MEN’S
Saturday 6th July at 9:00am
we are inviting all the guys of Net Church to come for a great English breakfast and then we are going to spend an hour together in prayer.
Cost is only £3.50 for the breakfast (payable on the day).
As men it is important that we gather together, eat together, pray together and seek God for our nation, our town, our families and those that we are reaching.
Sign up for a place on the sheet on the info table so that we can make sure you are catered for.
All guys are invited
All across our nation there are young men without hope and without proper role models. Many end up in young offenders’ prison. We run a Christian mentoring programme within Rochester’s Young Offenders’ unit which runs on 2 levels:-
Level 1 - we bring Christians into the prisons to mentor the lads on a Monday evening (fortnightly).
Level 2 - we continue mentoring when they leave prison.
Do you want to get involved? You can be male or female but you must have been a Christian for at least 3 years. Please email the church for more info for the attention of Roy Morley (email on the back page).

We are continuously building our relationship with the staff and residents at The Quays. We help the residents to manage their own allotment, growing vegetables on the grounds.
Would you like to get involved with this? You don’t have to have any gardening experience
just be willing to learn and chat to people.
Even if you can’t go every week but could commit to once a fortnight, or once a month, this would be a tremendous help.
See Liz Schiff for info.

Following Pastor Roy and Keely’s visit to Ethiopia recently we will be partnering with Compassion UK to really make a difference in the lives of families and children in Addis Ababa. Children are living in squalor and filth, some are even living in rubbish dumps. The average life expectancy for women is just 43, disease is rife and poverty is extreme. We can help.
We will be partnering with Compassion UK. Compassion is an international Christian child development and child advocacy ministry. Partnering with local churches, they are committed to the spiritual, economic, social and physical development of children living in extreme poverty enabling them to become responsible, fulfilled Christian adults who are educated and self sufficient. Compassion not only help children but their work has a direct effect on the families, helping with food, medical care and skills training.
Ethiopia needs us!
We will with a specific project in Addis Ababa with Compassion UK and then as individuals we will children from this one area.
This way we will be able to not only send our finance but short term mission teams, with the local church, bring and help pass on skills etc. It will also enable us to literally see the children face to face as they flourish and grow.

the next step...In Matthew 25 Jesus separates the sheep from the goats, He says "when I was hungry you fed me, when I was thirsty you gave me something to drink... when I needed clothes you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you visited me". The sheep ask when did we do this for you Lord? Jesus replies "Truly I tell you whatever you did for one of the least of these you did for me". Let’s make sure we not only SEE the need of the poor but DO something. Together we can bring change.
