• National Procurement are a Division of NHS National Services Scotland based in Edinburgh

• Provide a range of National Framework Contracts on behalf of NHSScotland

• These Contracts cover a range of Goods & Services e.g. Pharmaceuticals, Medical & Surgical products, Rehabilitation products, Food & Nutrition, Furniture, Uniforms etc

• We take advice from “Clinical & Technical” NHS employees nominated by Health Boards (Commodity Advisory Panel or CAP) – For SFD030 (NP590) we have Bio-Engineers, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Technical Services & Consultant in Rehabilitation Medicine representing the 5 Wheelchair Services in NHSScotland

• These CAP members bring input to the CAP from their Health Board and also take information back from CAP to their Health Board

As a Public Sector Organisation National Procurement MUST comply with “The Public Contracts (Scotland) Regulations 2006 – Key requirements include:

1. Tenders & Contract Awards advertised in Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU)

2. Tenders must include: Scope, Number of Lots, Maximum number of suppliers, Award Criteria and Scoring Methodology

3. The Remedies Directive from 20 December 2009 4. Debrief Suppliers that are unsuccessful
