• Ponnequin turbines output voltage(580Von the Micon side, 690Von the Vestas side) to pad mount transformers.  These step the voltage up to 25KV.

• Connected in parallel in groups of 7 to 9 turbines (daisey chained), then thru a metering cabinet, then to the 25Kv switch gear.  There is an isolation breaker for each “phase” or string of 7 turbines.

• The power then passes thru the 25kv main bus breaker to the GSU in the substation, where it is stepped up to 115 Kv and goes out over WAPPA lines.  There is relaying protection in the 25Kv switch gear.

• Blade length Micon 75’ Vestas 77’• Low Speed Micon 14/22 rpm Vestas 29 rpm• Rotor Weight Micon 30000 lb Vestas 16000 lb• Yaw deck height Micon 187’ Vestas 217’

• Micon– Cut in speed 7 mph– Cut out speed 56 mph– Transfer from low to high speed occurs at 14

mph

• Vestas– Cut in speed 9 mph– Maximum output at 33 mph– Cut out speed 56 mph
