Reporting and
Period End
Challenges
Oracle Projects Reporting and Period End Challenges
• Difficult to track what processes have been run, reviewed, and verified to ensure all interfaced transactions have been included
• Integration with many other Oracle Applications may cause conflicts, cause processes to fail, or not include all of the transactions
• Knowing what steps to complete, what processes to run and when, and what reports to review after each step
Period End Process Reporting
• What report to run and when and what to look out for
• Reconciliation to the GL can be difficult with the report format and detail level of the Oracle standard reports for both Projects and GL
• Oracle standard reports may not include the necessary columns, especially if you’ve extended Oracle using descriptive flex fields
• Oracle standard reports may be limited to a single project, expenditure type, or period
