review phonics skill of the week (prefixes re-, un-) unhappy, unlike, untangle, unkind, unlock, unpack, refill, replay, repaint, retell, remake & reread-
Pick 3 phonics words from above and write 3 complete sentences.Tuesday, April 7th:
read anchor text, Half-Chicken (textbook pgs. 314-331) Folktale discuss Classroom Conversation comprehension questions (textbook
pg. 334) discuss the character’s point of view in the story (textbook pg. 333) Talk about the causes/effects of the story (textbook pg. 332)
Examples: Everyone wanted to see Half-Chicken, so Half-Chicken became very vain. The wind blows Half-Chicken onto a tower, so Half-Chicken turns into a weather vain.

Practice fluency, read & discuss the moral of The Lion and the Mouse (textbook pgs. 336-338)
