HISTORY OF HOMOSEXUALITY

Homosexuality and Homosexual behavior have been documented since the time of ancient civilizations .

Ancient Greece are the most well-known place where homosexuality was historically recorded and socially acknowledged.

In Africa, multiple pieces of art that depict same-sex relationships have been discovered by archaeologists and historians.

HOMOSEXUALITY IN THE PHILIPPINES

Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) people in the Philippines have a distinctive culture but limited legal rights.

Gays and lesbians are generally tolerated

According to the 2010 Young Adult Fertility and Sexuality Survey, 11% of sexually active Filipinos between the ages of 15 and 24 have had sex with someone of the same sex.

American Psychiatric Association reports "There are no replicated scientific studies supporting any specific biological etiology for homosexuality."

The APA further states "No specific psychosocial or family dynamic cause for homosexuality has been identified, including histories of childhood sexual abuse." 

HOMOSEXUALITY AND THE CHURCH

Homosexual behaviour acts intended to arouse or stimulate a sexual response regarding a person of the same sex. The Catholic Church teaches that such acts are always violations of divine and natural law.

CONCLUSION:

Homosexuality is a choice.

We must recognize that it's not about what we say or feel but what God says.
