Metering SystemThe LectroCount DMS works with LectroCount LCR and LCR-II
Electronic registers and all Liquid Controls PD Flowmeters. No
special software is required for LectroCount registers. The
LectroCount DMS system can be ordered with a new system or
retrofit to existing systems. Once installed and configured, up to
three metering systems can be controlled with the LectroCount
DMS allowing for simultaneous delivery from all three meters.
DMS in-cab componentsThe LectroCount DMS consists of three major components; the
LectroCount DMS Module, DMS Lap Pad, and DMS operating
software. As its name suggests, LectroCount DMS is a system for
recording and managing data such as customer accounts, day-to-
day delivery transactions, shift information, route information, and
more.
Housed in a rugged enclosure, LectroCount DMS offers a high-
speed embedded computer and compact flash drive. The Lap Pad
provides an eight line by thirty character, backlit display with an
easy-to-use keyboard. This means a minimum of screens to
navigate and fewer keystrokes for operators.
The software structure has been streamlined to further reduce
navigation time and keystrokes. The software consists of four
functional segments; one for setting up communications, one for
product calibration, one for making deliveries, and a system menu
used to navigate between them. Once configured, the operator
makes deliveries from a single program.
At the end of a shift, the operator can send delivery transaction
records to the home office computer using an optional RF
transmitter, or download the transactions to a USB memory device
and bring that to the office computer for upload. Software and
data base upgrades can be effected using the same methods in

GPS
PrintersLectroCount DMS interfaces with industry standard printers. Tickets are generated after
each delivery and delivery information is stored in the LectroCount DMS internal drive.
Tickets may be recalled at later dates and reprinted.
GPSAn optional GPS unit may be added to the system for tracking vehicle movement and
recording mileage. The GPS unit wires to the rear panel of the LectroCount DMS and
may be mounted inside or outside the vehicle cab. GPS signal information can be
imported to standard mapping software for continuous vehicle monitoring.
RF CommunicationAn RF Transceiver may be added for wireless communication with the office computer.
This provides a means of communicating with the office computer for downloading
delivery transactions, or uploading software and revised data base files. Both close-
proximity and LAN RF systems can be supported
USB Flash MemoryThe USB Flash Memory device plugs into the DMS Module. This device can be used for
downloading completed transactions for delivery to the in-house computer system, or it
can be used for upgrading the Data Module software and database.
Mounting BracketsRugged, steel, mounting brackets are supplied with the LectroCount DMS for ease of
installation in the cab of the vehicle.
Customization
Two auxiliary ports are available for customized accessories. One port may be
configured to operate as RS232 or RS485, the other port operates as RS232. These
ports can be used for card readers, bar code scanners, RF id tag readers, and many
other devices.
Three digital inputs and three digital outputs are available for output or input control.
These are general purpose I/O connections which can be used for additive injection,
initialization of indicator lights, and many other options.
