Diversity + College Access Fair Overview

The Diversity + College Access Fair is a free virtual event that encourages counselors and students to connect with

college admissions representatives and current college students to learn about special admission programs, financial

aid opportunities, and support services specifically for first-generation and underrepresented students

Diversity + College Access Fair Overview

When? Wednesday, October 1, 2014

For Counselor+ College Networking Session

12:00pm to 2:00pm Central Time

For Students

3:00pm-7:00pm Central Time

Where? Event online portal. Available on mobile devices.

Who? For counselors, mentors, administrators. For students from all high school grade levels are welcomed. We strongly recommend high school juniors, seniors.

Counselor Registration for Counselor + College Networking Session

Counselors who would like to participate must:

1. Create a free counselor account & organization profile at College Greenlight to receive notifications & additional resources. (Current User? You don’t need to create an account. You will receive more information shortly.)

2. RSVP today with the event registration link, http://goo.gl/q4d5MJ.

Student Registration for College Fair

Students who would like to participate must:

1. Create a College Greenlight account (remember to have

students identify their high school & community organization counselors when they create their account)

2. Register for the event registration link

Student registration is available NOW!

Students can register up to the day of the event.

After registration

After counselors & students register they will:

1. Receive confirmation email including updates, alerts, instructions, tips, and additional resources from College Greenlight team

2. Granted access to the Diversity + College Access Fair mobile and online environment

What to expect on the day of the event?

CBO + College Networking Session 12:00noon-2:00pm CST

Student College Fair 3:00pm-7:00pm CST

On the day of the event: Counselors will use the provided link to access the event.

Students will login into College Greenlight Account to access the online event.

Note: Instructions will be provided to access the mobile environment

Grant & Scholarship Opportunity

• 1 Counselor will be awarded a $500 grant for creating a counselor account, attending the Counselor + College Networking Session at 12:00pm-2:00pm, and visiting 3 college booths. Grant goes toward any college access program initiatives.

• 1 Student will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship for attending the Student College Fair session, participating in at least one presentation, and interact in at least five college booths.
