Buttons/Features

Sleep/Wake button:

Press once to put in

sleep mode.

Press and hold to turn

off. (red slide bar will

appear)

Press and hold to turn

on.

Press once to go to the

home page anytime.

Double-click to see

open apps.

5 Finger Pinch

Swipe the screen with all 5

fingers to exit out of an

app. This works the same

as the home button.

In iOS7, you simply double

tap on the Home button

to display all current

running apps. Swipe the

app upward with your

finger to close it.

Closing an app

Searching for an

app

Tap in the middle

of the screen on

the wallpaper,

not an app and

drag down. This

will bring up the

search bar. Type

in the name of

the app or

keyword.

Flip your iPad

to horizontal to

get a larger

keyboard

Safari

This is the web browser on

the iPad. Tap this icon to

get to the internet.

Hold your

finger on

any image

in Safari and

you will get

an option to

Save or

Copy the

image to

your photos.

Camera

Tap the camera icon to

take both still photos and

videos using the front

FaceTime camera or the

back camera.

Photos

Tap this icon to view your

photos and videos. The

camera roll is found here.

How to get photo

projects off the

iPad

Use the “Simple Transfer”

or “Transferable” apps to

download photos from

the iPad to your PC.
