Timeline

• Tweets from those you follow will appear in your Timeline

Followers

• Only followers see your tweets in their stream• Quality over quantity

Basic Tweeting

• 140 characters• if you mention someone's handle in a tweet it will appear in

their @mentions• @handles do use up your 140 characters• if you start a tweet with someone's name only people who

follow BOTH of you will have tweet appear in their timeline • Twitter is an open conversation - there is no "butting in"

• DM = Direct Message• Can only send to people who are following you• Like email but only 140 characters
