INTRODUCTION

Our project - Does the use of flowcharts help students to be more independent during lessons?

Why we chose it?

What we planned to do.

What we were hoping to find out.

LITERATURE REVIEW

ASQ - Assuring built in quality and mitigating risk

Breezetree - Taking the concept of flowcharts further

Eddraw - An example of a free flowcharting resource

K12 Teachers - How and why to use Flowcharts

VARK - Is it just a visual learning style?

What did others find out? How did this inform our enquiry?

METHODOLOGYWe wanted to find out if a flowchart could be used to allow students to be more independent learners. This would highlight all resources available to students (not just the teacher).

We set students an initial task to do without the flowchart to see how they responded. After the idea of flowcharts was introduced we completed a similar task.
