The Village Blacksmith is a poem which gives us a beautiful picture of the life of a village blacksmith and his hardship.

Content Analysis

To make the students aware about the importance of hardwork .

To make them familiar about the life of a blacksmith and his toil in the smithy.

Objectives

The teacher asks the students some questions to test their previous knowledge and to bring them to the new poem.

1.Is their anyone from the family of a blacksmith?

2.Have you seen the workplace of a blacksmith?

Today we are going to learn a new poem by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow

Henry Wadsworth Longfellow was an American poet and educator whose works include "Paul Revere's Ride", The Song of Hiawatha, and Evangeline.
