Huang He (Yellow River) and the Yangtze are China's two major rivers. The background music you hear is the famous Yellow River Concerto. Visit http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yellow_River to learn more about this dynamic river. Our thanks to Roger Dong for introducing us to Huang He's majestic sights.

Nanjing University

Here everyone is taking pictures with our wonderful Hanyu teachers and administrators from Nanjing University.

Nanjing University

In this picture we are in the middle of Tai Chi. The Kung Fu master taught us other forms of fighting and defense as well.

Kung Fu

In this class we used brushes and ink to write characters. We learned to write our names and a few beginner words from Hanyu class.

Calligraphy

The group was on a field trip to a temple where Aimee and I dressed up to play music on stage. I think the Guzheng (the instrument I’m playing) makes a beautiful sound.

Music

I really enjoyed this class. It was one of our extra classes at Nanjing University. The teacher gave us instructions for us to follow and in the end we had to cut it out. You ended up with a piece of art.

Paper Cutting

We ate at the Blue Rain Restaurant and said thanks and goodbye to the teachers. The students made and signed cards for them.
