One of the barriers to scaling up assisted living technologies (ALTs) is the shortfall of training opportunities for practitioners along withthe lack of a recognised qualification for competence in their suitability and use.

As a result, awareness of assistive living technologies remains low amongst managers and consequently frontline staff and those who need them

Meaningful Patterns in the data:

Not Normal

Everything can produce data……..

Will connect a device for 50p per month. So if the kettle isn’t used before 10am it notifies the onsite warden.

But what if we connect all the data?

What else can we do?

3D Cameras and Smart Carpets• No Image, nothing to wear• Micro Movements (breathing,

seizure, self-harm, chocking, violence, skin temp)

• The 2nd Stumble alarm (the 3rd is the fall)

• Prediction through algorithms• Adults with Learning Disabilities,

Mental Health, Care Homes, Extra Care

Using Robots

Physical Web: Virtual Keysafe/Navigation

• Door Release Via a secure app (auditable and No Keysafe Needed)

• Navigation around the building• Data sharing with relevant professionals

How do we use Apps?

• Information • Preferred carer• Who is coming?• Tasks• Seamless Support• Key safes could disappear• Gamification and Nudges• Digital and Meds• Mobile Alarm (GPS)• Video Calling• Wellbeing ---------• Loneliness
