Why strive for more positive reviews?

1. They are the most effective marketing resources.

2. More customers will trust your business.

3. If left unattended, negative reviews may hurt your business.

Make It Part Of Your Workflow1. Reviews will be made whether you

ask for them or not.

2. It is important to have a structured process in place that encourages and facilitates reviews.

3. Timing is important. Therefore, you should ask for a review immediately after the transaction.

Get More Prominent Reviews

1. Review sites are quick to flag and remove fake positive reviews.

2. By checking-in and posting pictures, reviews will be validated and rank higher.

3. On Yelp, people who review often and have lots of Yelp friends will receive higher rankings.

Incentivize Check-Ins and Photos1. Offer free Wi-Fi to people who

check-in on their favorite social media sites.

2. Most sites will ask your customer to rate your business within a day or so after checking-in.

3. Create unique photo props in the waiting area to encourage photography.

Make It Easy For Them To Review Your Business

1. Use an Automated Review System Sends an SMS message or e-mail

asking the customer to rate their experience from 1-10.

Any rating lower than a 6 will be forwarded to the business owner for immediate action.

Customers who give ratings of 9 or 10 will be encouraged to leave a review.

2. Send your own SMS message or e-mail Send the request immediately

after transaction completion.

The message should be tailored to request a rating of their overall experience.

Make the as easy for the customer as possible by using a 10-point scale.

3. Mail a postcard with a QR code Sending a postcard is a great

way of thanking your customers.

It allows them to scan a QR code with their smartphone which forwards them to a website to rate their experience.

What Do Ratings Mean?1. 6 or less: Considered a negative review and should be

handled immediately.

2. 7-8: Positive or neutral review. These should be incentivized to return to your business via special offers or coupons.

3. 9-10: Happy with their experience and should be asked to leave a review.

Create Testimonials1. Research shows that people who view videos are 1.81 times

more likely to make a purchase than non-viewers.

2. Ask happy customers if they would be willing to shoot a short video of their experience. And make it as convenient for them as possible.

3. Customer-produced videos carry more credibility than company-produced videos.

Help Them Give You A Great Testimonial

1. Start by asking the customer what part of their experience they would like to talk about.

2. Ask them a few questions such as:What was your initial concern? How was your initial experience? What was the final outcome?

3. Create an open and fun environment in order for them to portray a positive physical energy.
