GEODEV Publications

Moreover, the GEODEV scientists publish in prestigious international journals, such as AGU-EOS, Geophysical Research Letters, Hydrological Sciences Journal, Journal of Geophysical Research, Journal of Atmospheric and Solar Terrestrial Physics, J. of Hydrology, Tectonophysics.

Results of research were also presented at a number of international conferences.

GEODEV Visits and Missions (2003-2005)

37 scientists from 18 countries visited the Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences

14 PhD students of the Institute of Geophysics participated in various training courses abroad

Scientists of the Institute of Geophysics paid 35 visits to European geophysical research centres

Participation in FP6 Research Consortia

In GLOBAL-2 and GLOBAL-3 the GEODEV scientists participated in three consortia submitting IP proposal (NAHAWASC, PREVIEW and VIEWS) and in one consortium submitting a STREP proposal (PRO-ECO).

In GLOBAL-4 the Institute of Geophysics submitted, as coordinator, a STREP proposal (CLIMPACT), with 11 partners from 7 countries.

No one of the above initiatives was succesful to be funded.

Future plans

The Institute of Geophysics of the Polish Academy of Sciences intends to be an active member of ERA.

In particular, GEODEV is looking for a possibility to become a partner in a Network of Excellence in the field of environmental sciences.

The level and forms of GEODEV future activities depend on national and international research funding.

Thank you
