Subj: DIVISION 2 UNIT OF THE YEAR; CASE OF NORTHERN KENTUCKY YOUNG MARINES
1. Despite their geographical location from the rest of Division 2, The Northern Kentucky Young Marines have achieved a lot during 2018. They not only met all the requirements established by National Young Marine Headquarters, but Division 2 As well. Specifics are as follows:
a. Number of Adult Volunteers / Young Marines: 9 / 23b. Adult Volunteer Community Service Hours: 3,636c. Young Marine Community Service Hours: 1,568d. Adult Volunteer DDR Hours: 68.75e. Young Marine DDR Hours: 255f. DDR Dash participants: 22g. Adult Volunteer / Young Marine Project Alert Certified: 3 / 7h. Young Marines who attended the National Leadership Academy: 4i. Participated in Memorial Day activitiesj. Participated in Veteran’s Day activitiesk. Participated in Red Ribbon Weekl. Adult Volunteers who took the initial RAM Test: 3
2. ENCAMPMENTS: Held one encampment during Recruit Training (just for Recruits and Recruit Instructors), which we held May 2018
Attended the Division 5 Ohio Regimental Games in July (where Northern Kentucky Young Marines took 2nd place in Senior and Junior competitions overall)
Had one Young Marine participate in the Division 5 encampment during August 2018
3. RECRUITS: Graduated one recruit class, Class 1-18:
4. ADULT LEADERSHIP CONFERENCE (MAY 2018): 3 Adult Volunteers attended
