Free and fair elections are the very foundation of American

democracy, and the most basic promise that those in power can

pledge to citizens.

It will be my honor to attend the inaugural ceremonies at the U.S. Capitol on behalf of

the people of Maryland.

We have a duty to do all we can to restore trust

and fairness to our political system.

for the past five years.

This time, the people of Maryland should be drawing the lines—not the politicians

or party bosses.

The status quo is no longer good

enough.
