Points are assigned per check-in

How are points given?

Generally every check-in counts for 3 points

Users have more than 20 things for which they can earn points.

You’re the Mayor! (+3 points)

You just became the mayor! (+5 points)

You’re creeping on a friend’s mayorship turf! (+2 points)

Some cities have city-specific badges that can only be earned in a specific city.
