Concept & Aim of Project

• To create an educational editorial based on colours and how their conceptual interpretation has changed over time

• It will include a range of different media styles, like photography, illustration and photo manipulation

• The target audience is non-gender specific and for a range of ages, but aimed mostly at young adults

Research to Undertake

Primary Research:•photographs of poses/images for editorial

•Zine research (photographs/existing zines)

•Material research (colour-specific objects)

•Interviews/quotes on people’s opinions

Secondary Research:•Artist research

•Layout/structure of existing zines

•Colour palettes

Skills & Technique Development

• Photography skills – good camera angles and shots

• Digital editing skills – enhancing colour and layout

• Experimentation with colour and techniques

• Illustration design – hand-rendered and digital

Intended Outcome & Summary

My intended outcome is to create:

• The name and design of the editorial

• A printed editorial, containing illustrations, photography, typography and text

• It will consist of a front and back page with a minimum of 4 inside pages
