Migrants from Asia crossed the Bering Strait to the coast of current day Alaska

6750 B.C. to 800 A.D.

The Norton then the Dorset settle from eastern Alaska to Baffin Island, Canada

800 A.D.

Dorset people replaced by a group migrating from Alaska, the Thule. They spread across Canada to Greenland.

1570

Arrival of first Europeans and the Thule culture gives way to the current Inuit culture.

Nunavut becomes a providence in Canada
