If you would like to place flowers in the
sanctuary for a special occasion, in
memory or “just because”, please
contact the Altar Flower Coordinator
Devon Morris at 568-4578. Thank you!
The Epworth Men’s Group is just
about to deplete their supply of fire-
wood for the season. Please call
Buddy Peden at 615-790-9650 or
George Rembert 615-618-6733 to
place your order!
Epworth UMC Snow Policy
If Williamson County Schools close or are dismissed early due to poor or threatening
weather conditions, there will be NO week night meetings, dinners or other activities.
This information can also be found on the church answering machine if you are
uncertain.
In case of bad weather on the weekends, the Pastor will consult with the Administra-
tive Council Chair, the Sunday School Superintendent and the Chair of the Trustees
and make a decision about Sunday School and worship services. Once a decision is
made, this information will sent out on church wide email. Please check the church
website also for more information if you are uncertain.
Items are desperately needed to restock our clothing closet for Room in the Inn. Please bring items to either church location: thermal underwear tops, long johns, work boots (9-11) hoodies, stocking caps, 32-34 jeans & pants. Monetary donations are also welcome!
Our next Mission Impact Celebration will be March 31-April 2. Many plans have been started, but there is still much to be done. If you would like to help with the planning and preparations, join us at the next Outreach Team meeting at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, January 10,
at the new site. The next Feeding Under The Bridge will be Friday, January 20. You can meet us under the Jefferson Street Bridge on Second Avenue North at 6:00, or you can car pool with others from Bargain Hunt on Murfreesboro Road at 5:15 p.m. There will be a team going to work at the House of Hope in Santiago, Chile, March 11-26, 2017. Epworth has supported this ministry to orphans and underserved children in the LaPintana section of Santiago for several years. You might be involved in light construction or work with the children in VBS type settings. Either way you will be blessed. The cost is approximately $2900. A non-refundable deposit of $250 is due by February 15, 2017. Contact Cindy Kurzrock at lu.kurzrock@yahoo.com or Kathy Heard kch87@aol.com for more details.
DID YOU KNOW? Since they began in 2014 , Praying Hands Prayer Shawl Circle has knit, crocheted and delivered 104 (and counting) prayer shawls to folks in our congregation, our family and friends, our community and all across our country who were in need of God’s healing comfort and love to wrap around them. This Prayer Shawl Circle is in need of more members to help us weave these shawls as the requests and needs grow. Anyone is welcome to join us, you need not be a member of Epworth, whether you are a seasoned knitter or just want to learn. We can teach you! Come enjoy the fellowship, worship and luncheon together on the 3rd Tuesday of each month, beginning January 17th, 10:00 a.m., at Marsha and Roland Preston’s home. For further information call Marsha 615-628-8243.

What an exciting month we had in December!! From our Littlest Angel Choirs, to a
Night in Bethlehem and ending with our Chancel Choir and Orchestra presenting a
wonderful Christmas Cantata! Thank you to everyone who participated in this
joyous time of year.
Dear Epworth Family We cannot begin to list the numerous people in our congregation that have supported us through the fifteen month journey with our precious Jewel (aka Nana). However, there are some that must be named...Thank you Donna for going above and beyond what anyone could ever expect from their pastor. Your beautiful spirit and faith gracefully guided us all through some of our most difficult days. Thank you for the comforting words and scripture you shared at her service. It was the most heart-felt, comforting service any of our family have attended. Thank you Devon Morris for providing such beautiful flowers and deliver-ing them for us. Thank you Brad Fiscus, for running audio/video in the midst of such a busy schedule. The service would not have been what it was without you. Thank you to all the fabulous friends who prepared and served our family after the service. What a gift you all have been blessed with! Nana would be proud! Thank you Mary Hatcher Sunday School Class for your love, friendship, visits, calls and support these last several months. She loved you all. To everyone else, we wanted to let you know that all of the prayers, cards, calls, flowers, gifts, visits, etc. have gotten us through her struggle with declining health and eventual passing. Although she is gone, we draw strength from your support and continued prayers. Thank you all for being a part of our family through the good and bad for the last 43 years! With Love and Gratitude, The Gower, Finney, Kees and Demonbreun Families
