Procession

The picture was taken somewhere near Armenian Street, George Town. The sculpture illustrates a metal art that shows the celebration of Tua Pek Kong’s birthday. Because it was The Year of the Tiger, statue of the tiger was carried through the streets while being escorted by the Chingay march in Georgetown. A British was observing the procession. He happens to be thinking about the last tiger shot in 1930. This metal art was sculpted by a famous local artist, Tang Mun Kian, who happens to be on of the famous but humble artists you can find here in Malaysia.
