Embedding Soundslides into Personal Wordpress

The How-To

Your slideshow needs to be published on the Daily Universe site by RJ before you can go any further.

• Log into the DU site at universe.byu.edu

• Halfway down the right side of the page will be the log in link

• Navigate to your post with the slideshow and click “Edit”

• In the “Custom Fields” box, copy the src address (everything between both double quotation marks)

• Note: You cannot use the URL found in your browser address bar. You must use the one from the Custom Fields box.

• Go to http://tools.soundslides.com/embed/

• Paste in the copied src code

• Click “Continue”

Copy the generated embed code

• Select the HTML tab and paste the generated code into the post

• Type in the gigya code:• [gigya width="420" height="383" src="

• Be sure to change the filename after the photogalleries/ to what your file is named

• Locate the src= and copy everything between the two double quotation marks.

• Replace the src in the gigya from the generated code you copied from the Soundslides Embed Utility

• Delete the generated code from Soundslides Embed Utility

• Click Save or Preview to see the slideshow.

• Then press Save
