Bio of Bradley TreuherzFirst Semester FreshmanElectrical Engineering Major
○ Originally Mechanical Engineering Major I learned practical knowledge in the field of
electrical engineering. Through the ECE program I have learned how to approach a problem with more confidence and experience.
This course has already affected my future. This course is a large reason for why I changed majors.
Bio of Bradley ContinuedI am now interested in joining ECE related
clubs here at UF.I hope to work as an engineer at a major
company.Even though there are no exams on the
lectures, pay attention anyway.
Bio of Evelyn Fernandez
First Semester Freshman Mechanical Engineering Major I learned how engineering can be
applied in a hands on way. This course has made me believe that
engineering can be fun! After completing this course I am going
to consider joining the robotics club at UF.
Bio of Evelyn Continued
I hope through working in my field to use my skills to make a positive change on the world.
Have fun with it! This course is designed to be interactive and fun!
Bio of Michael Beauchamp
First Semester Freshman. Mechanical Engineering Major. I learned how to troubleshoot buggy robots. I plan to graduate UF and learn a few
languages. I hope to work on E36 and win C-FL SCCA
rally cross. Find a hobby! Something to take your mind
of studying.
Robot Story
Hal, an autonomous cargo vessel awaits launch into intergalactic orbit.
Using cutting-age technology, the team uses the suns energy to power Hal.
A solar flare reaches Hal, charging the fuel cells. Hal deploys.
This is a simple mission to deliver supplies to an orbiting laboratory, however Hal must comply with airspace restrictions.
Robot Story Continued
Hal follows the designated route, and successfully avoids breaching the restricted regions.
Upon reaching the laboratory, Hal docks and plays a little tune to alert the scientists of its arrival.
Team Conclusions
This class has showed us the Engineering can be fun! This first semester has been nothing but prerequisite math and science courses. ECE (Ad) Ventures has reminded us all why we chose to become engineers in the first place!
