By 1929, Adam and Alex’s grandfather, James Adam “Jimmie” Moreau, achieved the Rank of Eagle Scout.

Jimmie’s favorite possession was his Boy Scout Knife.

14 years later, as a U.S. Marine Officer, he brought his Boy Scout motto, training, and that knife, with him to a Pacific War “to do duty... to my country”.

Colonel Moreau later said that being a Boy Scout not only helped him, as a Combat Officer, to adapt and thrive in a miserable environment, but by the effort it took to be an Eagle Scout, he was able to teach his men to do the same.
