IS THE RECOVERY AFTER AN IN-OFFICE PROCEDURE FASTER THAN A SURGERY USING GENERAL ANESTHESIA?We only perform less-invasive procedures in-office such as targeted liposuction and eyelid surgery, and therefore they tend to have faster recovery times, on average, compared with more-invasive surgeries done in a surgery center, such as tummy tucks, facelifts or breast enhancements.

CAN I GO RIGHT BACK TO WORK AFTER AN IN-OFFICE SURGICAL PROCEDURE?It depends on which procedure is done, as well as the nature of your case. The techniques used during in-office procedures are exactly the same as those used in a hospital, however, local anesthesia (awake) is used instead of general anesthesia (asleep).

DOES “IN-OFFICE” MEAN THAT I WON’T HAVE ACCESS TO HOSPITAL-QUALITY EQUIPMENT?In-office procedures are performed by our double board-certified surgeons in private rooms using state-of-the-art medical equipment.

IN-OFFICE PROCEDURES =NO GENERAL ANESTHESIA REQUIRED

At Sunset Cosmetic Surgery, Drs. Yamini and Svehlak can use in-office procedures for small surgical refinements such as eyelid surgery, ear surgery, chin implants, Mini Sculpt (targeted liposuction), minor rhinoplasty, belly button surgery, lip lifts and lip reductions, as well as scar and liposuction revisions. “Instead of using general anesthesia, we use a local anesthetic to numb the area, as well as an oral sedative to help provide a relaxed experience for our patients,” say the doctors.
