Historical Context: The mid 1500s to the late 1800s were some of the most
revolutionary years in the history of the world. During those years the institutions of religion, science & government were turned upside down. Radical new ideas began to take hold during the Scientific Revolution & the Enlightenment. These new ideas set into motion the French & Latin American Revolutions & also contributed to the rise of nationalism that led directly to the unification of Germany & Italy.
Task:
You will choose two (2) key people, from any time period & create a ‘Trading Card’ for each person.
Each card must include the following: Picture of the individual (color or black & white, copy or drawn) Biographical information: Who were they? What did they do?
When did they live? Where were they from? Why were they important?
At least 1 vocabulary word from our unit lessons
