DIVISIONAL GOAL

Academic Division

To contribute to the attainment of the International Christian School Mission, the

Academic Division aims to:

1. Turn out graduates who are personally upright, professionally competent and

socially responsive;

2. Ensure that the faculty are competent and imbued with Christian virtues and a

sense of professional growth;

3. Offer academic programs and services that are relevant and, where appropriate,

interdisciplinary;

4. Assure adequate resources and facilities supportive of such academic programs

and services;

5. Infuse into the academic life of Christian values and an awareness of the needs

of the community; and

6. Cooperate with the other sectors in the school and other institutions in the

realization of the academic goals.

Administrative Division

To support in the realization of the International Christian School Mission, the

Administrative Division seeks to:

1. Establish and maintain a position of leadership in the areas of student and

academic support services;

2. Provide basic student services that would promote the development of a well-

integrated person;

3. Promote the development and effective utilization of media that would foster

quality education;

4. Provide adequate functional and well-maintained facilities that would support the

educational responsibilities of the school;

5. Ensure a safe and peaceful environment conductive to effective learning and

productive working; and

6. Create an organizational climate that fosters the personal and professional

occupational goals required in the effective performance of the job.

Finance Division

To provide support in the realization of the International Christian School Mission,

the Finance Division seeks to:

1. Develop an effective financial management and control system that would

improve operational efficiency;

2. Ensure the proper allocation of available financial resources consistent with the

operational and developmental needs of the school;

3. Assure an effective procurement system for goods and services required by the

different units of the school;

4. Maintain an accounting system that would generate accurate and timely financial

information for decision-making;

5. Ascertain the availability of funds for the operational and developmental needs of

the school through efficient cash management; and

6. Maintain an efficient and effective academic information system responsive to the

educational needs of the clientele and directly supportive of administrative

decision-making.

JOB SUMMARY

The Vice President for Finance (VPF) administers all business and financial affairs of the school.

As chief financial officer, the VPF plans, organizes, and coordinates the business and financial activities of the school consistent with the mission of the institution and the support needed by the academic and administrative divisions.

He is appointed by the Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of the President for a term of three (3) years and may be re-appointed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Develops and recommends financial policies and plans and advises on financial consequences of management decisions

2. Prescribes/approves accounting, auditing and budgetary systems and procedures

3. Exercises control over school fund and asset management through proper budgeting, accounting and auditing procedures

4. Collaborates with the VP for Administration in formulating policies and procedures for the operation and maintenance of the physical plant, particularly custodial care, security and safety

5. Formulates, in coordination with the other Vice Presidents, policies and procedures governing financial transactions with students, faculty and staff

6. Prepares the budget of the office and submits it to the Budget Officer for collation7. Reviews the budget proposals of the departments under his division and

prepares the divisional budget for submission to the Cabinet8. Submits to the President quarterly and annual reports on the financial status of

the school9. Performs other duties that may be assigned or delegated by the President

BUDGET OFFICER

DEPARTMENT/OFFICE : Budget

ORGANIZATIONAL RELATIONSHIPSReports to : Vice President for Finance

JOB SUMMARYThe Budget Officer coordinates and assists the various cost centers in the

preparation of budget proposals.

He is appointed by the Board of Trustees upon the recommendation of the

President for a term of three (3) years and may be re-appointed.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Prepares a cash forecast and a summary of budget proposals and submits these

to the Budget Committee for review

2. Distributes to the different cost centers the Budget Guidelines and Budget

Proposal Forms set by the Cabinet

3. Receives and reviews the budget proposals submitted by the different cost

centers and forwards copies to the division heads

4. Prepares the final version of the Annual Budget as approved by the Board of

Trustees

5. Distributes the approved budget to the respective cost centers

6. Prepares and submits to the Cabinet the monthly cost performance report of

various cost and revenue centers

7. Performs other functions that may be assigned or delegated by the VP for

Finance
