Events and Competition Apprentice
Department: Marketing & Communications
Reporting to: Competitions Delivery Manager

Salary Starting salary £3.30 per hour – 35 hrs per week.Scope: Main purpose: Support the delivery of Squash events and competitions. Liaising
with players, facilities and other stakeholders to ensure that competitions are delivered to the highest standard.
Key responsibilities
Being main point of contact for sanctioned event organisors Working as part of a team to delivery local, national and international
events Preparing equipment and resources for events and competitions At event tournament registration and results collation. Set event venues up with correct branding and information points.
EVENTS & COMPETITION APPRENTICE PERSON SPECIFICATIONQUALIFICATIONSEssential Desirable Minimum of 5 G.C.S.Es English, Maths & IT G.C.S.E. grade C and
above.KNOWLEDGEEssential Desirable A working knowledge of Microsoft Office
i.e. Word, Excel, Outlook. Have worked or volunteered at events An interest and passion for sport Knowledge of the sport of squash
SKILLSEssential Desirable Attention to detail A proactive approach to work. Excellent customer service skills. Excellent communication, inter-personal
and organisation skills.EXPERIENCEEssential Desirable
Must be able to demonstrate good written and oral communication skills.
Must be self-motivated to work alone and as part of a team.
Involvement in sport either, playing, coaching or a sports leader.
Knowledge and understanding of social media channels relating to competitions and events.
An interest in, and knowledge of, the game of squash in England is desirable.
